sweet sweet summer season

I honestly can't help myself when it gets to be Summer - or really even Spring for that matter. All I want in life is just to be outside, sun on my face, in a chair, iced beverages, and tending a garden. Is that asking too much?

If I'm being honest, sometimes I actually think twice about whether or not I want to attend a mid-afternoon meeting. That's the perfect time of day for sitting and reading. Or podcasting and walking. Or sleeping on a blanket. Or just about anything that isn't in front of a computer or by a conference room table.

I found this quote earlier in the week from the Vineyard Gazette and it just was exactly how Summer is to me. Please enjoy the quote... and the subsequent pictures of life lately.

That beautiful season the Summer! Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; And the landscape Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood. —Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The lately list:
sweating and stretching at yoga
binge listening to podcasts
developing a catering menu
watering my tumbling tom tomatoes
riding the commuter rail back and forth
timing my commuter rail rides to optimize for generous conductors
seeing as many babies as possible
upping my BLT intake
not dating
avocado toast every damn day
excessive amounts of beach and ruby time
